The Pediatric Heart Network (PHN) is a consortium of leading hospitals across the United States, Canada, and other countries that conducts research in children and families living with congenital heart disease, adults living with congenital heart disease, and children affected by acquired heart disease.
We currently have several active studies with participants ranging from birth to 39 years old. View current and upcoming studies, learn about where this research is happening, and find out more about how you can get involved.
Public Use Datasets
The PHN offers access to the deidentified datasets for several completed studies. You can read the study dataset information and data use policies, register, and sign in to access the datasets directly from our website.
SVR Extension Newsletter
The latest issue of the SVR Extension Newsletter includes some exciting findings from the PHN's FUEL trial, as well as a brief summary of some new work related to leg strength for patients who have had a Fontan. We also share some beautiful artwork from our SVR participants.
Z-scores for common pediatric echo measurements based on BSA are available in an online Z-score calculator. The PHN ECHO Z Study found that age, sex, and race do not have a clinically significant effect on these echo measurements once BSA is accounted for.
